Steve Cole

Trainer, Athlete & Entrepreneur

My fitness journey began long before I was a Division-1 athlete. I started weightlifting at 13 years old and have since fell in love with fitness. What I love about it is that everything is in your control. Input = output. Some things in life are simply out of your control, but that last rep, that final lap, that’s all on you.

From an all-American in high school, to competing in 2 NCAA National Championship Finals, to even playing in olympic development programs, my water polo journey was quite the adventure. I loved the sport so much that I even coached for a couple years as well. Though I no longer play competitive water polo, I still love to incorporate swimming into my training routine because I know it’s the BEST exercise in the world.

Though I was always passionate about fitness, I did have a lull in my journey when I moved to NYC to do investment banking. Due to the demanding hours and lack of work-life balance, I put on a lot of weight and did not prioritize my health.

After 3+ long years in the corporate world, I decided to pursue a career in entrepreneurship and more specifically, the fitness industry. I founded Lunge, which the first matchmaking app to meet people at the same exercise location (gyms, exercise classes, etc.).

Even though is one of the fastest growing matchmaking apps, it is still important to me to help individuals get in the pool and improve as swimmers. Swimming has changed my life and my physique, and it is my mission to help others get the same results.

I spent 6 months developing the perfect swimming program that coaches a swimmer at any level. This program is made to get results. Whether your goal is to lose weight, gain muscle, or just improve as a swimmer, this is the program for you.

  • Though I was talented at water polo, the most fun sport I ever played was rugby

  • I grew up idolizing superheroes and would one day love to play a superhero in a movie (maybe aquaman?)
